Jaded Shadows Policies
Every pack has a few pack-specific rules, regulations, or leadership requests. Keep track of this long-term information by checking back here often. If you’ve got questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact the pack leadership.

Activity Checks
» Activity checks may be in character or out of character. When it is an ic activity check, it may consist of a howl thread where everyone has their characters participate in a pack howl, a meeting thread where one or two of the Alpha's call the members together, a pack hunt, or another group activity.
» Ooc activity checks generally consist of posting your three or four most recent posts.
» Failure to reply to either kind of activity check will give reason for you to be demoted or removed. As stated in the absence thread, If you plan to be absent for more than three weeks, your character will be put on hiatus IC and removed from the ranks. When you return from being absent, post in the absentee thread and your character will be reinstated into the ranks at Subordinate for a two week probationary period. If your activity is satisfactory after the two week probation period, your character will be reinstated at or as close to his/her former rank as possible.
Rank Shuffles
» The ranks will be reviewed on a bi-monthly basis, tentatively in the last week of every even-numbered month. Help by keeping your post log as up to date as possible.
Multiple Characters
» PM Tammi or Sonia with a request to play a second character. Your activity is extremely important, and you must have an up-to-date post log when requesting. Permission will be granted so long the following requirements are followed:
1. You have been a member of the pack for one month.
2. You have been consistently active in the last month.
Permission is only granted two weeks in advance, so be sure you are active when you ask.
Permission for third characters and beyond must be made to the Soul's Assemblage. Post your request in Roleplay Related.
Co-Ranks
» As a general policy, anybody interested in a co-rank (Apothecary, Aufpasser, Baird, Jester, Prolific or Keeper) should state their interest in the pack's bulletin thread or let the leadership know via e-mail. Keep track of pertinent threads in your post log for review.
-----» Prolific: The prolific is a co-rank for those of artistic ability. The Prolific of the pack is charged with overseeing any creative works that may require their assistance, and are always the first to call if one is in need of some ideas. The prolific has a fair grasp of their topic, and may range from an obvious visual ability, such as painting or drawing, or a more kinesthetic ability such as woodworking.
-----» Keeper: The keeper is the one in charge of maintaining the meeting area and pack den clean and ready. They work closely with the Alpha's and Beta's, as the leaders of the pack may inform them ahead of time of a meeting that will called so the Keeper may spruce the area up. The keeper is in charge of knowing the lands of the pack as well, and to be knowledgeable of the entire packland, not simply the two main points. The keeper may also be called upon to lead the pack to an area that is relatively new to other members.
Greeting Policy
» Spahers and Wahrens have dibs on greeting newcomers. Should a joining thread have no response after 48 hours, any wolf Spaher ranked or above may reply, The board-wide rule stands that only leadership ranks may accept or decline joinees.
In Character Get Togethers
» In Jaded Shadows, any member may organize a non-mandatory in character activity for the pack. No permission is required for rank or co-rank related threads. For example, a Jager can organize a hunt or the Jester a friendly game of tag. Got an idea that doesn’t really fit your character’s rank? No problem – just check with the leadership for permission first.
Out of Character Activites/Contests
» Any Jaded Shadows member may organize an activity for the pack. This can be anything from a pack-only chat to a pack pride contest. Be creative! However, if there is currently a contest/activity running, please wait until it is complete before starting a new one.
